Meet LAUREN FOWLKES
Lauren Meader Fowlkes was born and raised in San Antonio and moved to Marfa in 2011. She opened her own brokerage, Far West Texas Realty, in 2013 to provide the high level of service, professionalism, and ethics she felt the discerning clientele in Marfa deserved. Lauren grew her brokerage from the ground up and has closed over 150 transactions in only nine years. She attributes the rapid growth of her business to her deep market knowledge, open communication, and dedication to maximizing the value of each closing. Lauren’s reputation in the community is built on her honesty and hard work. As part of her commitment to continually raise her standards, Lauren joined Kuper Sotheby’s International Realty as a Broker Associate in 2022 to bring an unparalleled level of marketing and technology to her business in Marfa.
Lauren graduated from UT Austin and became licensed in 2005. She is the fourth generation of the Meader family to work in real estate and married into a fifth-generation West Texas ranching family. Lauren personally owns and manages properties in Marfa and San Antonio and maintains a personal office in Downtown Marfa. With her husband, John Fowlkes, who is an attorney and rancher, she lives full time on a ranch south of Marfa with their daughter, three dogs, and an untold number of cattle.Learn More +
